There are also costume jewelry that need to be properly cleaned and as careful as jewelry cleaners might be, there is still the risk of having the costume jewelry damaged, especially weaken the glue that sticks the precious stones to the entire costume. In this situation, you can perform the cleaning all by yourself with a gentle brushing on the areas using water and a soft toothbrush.
